EURO Industry SUMMIT – Capitalizing on Romania’s potential
On Tuesday, April 2, Mihaela Neagu, CEO of Best Acquisitions, participated in the “EURO Industry SUMMIT” conference – Capitalizing on Romania’s potential – Opportunities for Romanian industry in the EU, organized by Gândul newspaper at the InterContinental Athénée Palace Bucharest Hotel, together with the Minister of Agriculture – Florin Barbu, – Minister of Economy – Radu Oprea, Daniel Zamfir – Economic Commission, Industries and Services, Teodora Preoteasa, MIPE state secretary and other discussion partners.
During the event, the Antwerp Declaration and the ways of implementation were discussed, and the Minister of Agriculture presented the open financing programs and what is planned to be opened in the future.
An issue that Ms. Neagu Mihaela raised was regarding the university education system in Romania, about how students should be prepared to meet the demands of employers, in the sense that they must integrate quickly after finishing school and meet production requirements. There are many 10 students who are not up to the challenges in the field, unfortunately. Due to the fact that there is no curriculum adapted to the needs of employers and today’s economic realities, more and more high school graduates choose to continue their studies abroad.
The idea was supported by those present, and the representative of Profi, as well as Ajay Aggarwal, President of LIBERTY Steel Group Europe, also insisted that there is an acute need for young people to work in the industries. Mister. Zamfir said that there are no more requests for technical universities, while State Secretary Teodora Preoteasa mentioned that there are programs that can be accessed in order to prepare college graduates for the labor market.
